How fit is your skin?

Before you click out, thinking this is just another sponsored post, it’s not – I promise! Back in November, at Mumsnet Blogfest, I was given a leaflet about the skin fitness test from Mama Mio. As it had a promotional code, I kept it in my diary and finally, a few weeks ago, I sat down and spent 10 minutes completing the survey and getting my personalised skin fitness report and I have to say I found it surprisingly useful.

I immediately thought that it might be a useful thing to share on the blog so I emailed the lovely Sian from Mama Mio whom I met at BlogFest, to ask if I could share the promo code I had been given and she came back with a code especially for School Gate Style readers – talk about making a girl feel special! AND if that wasn’t enough, if you click through and complete the survey, you’ll get a £10 voucher to spend on Mama Mio products!

Perhaps, like me, you thought Mama Mio products are only for pregnant women. While they do have a specialist range of products for use during and after pregnancy, Mama Mio is much more than that. As well as a great range of gentle, chemical free facial skin care, there’s an impressive range of lotions and potions to prep your body for summer exposure. Sure to be my next investment as I have high hopes for a scorchio summer in Ireland!

Following on from completing my survey, I started using Mighty Moisture – a day or night cream for the face. It’s really impressive – not too heavy but very effective. Chemical & Paraban free, smells gorgeous and has reduced the number of face moisture products on my bathroom windowsill from 3 to 1 – result.

If you’re also interested in finding out how fit your skin is right now and would like to pick up a £10 voucher, click on this link and use code SCHOOLGATE where prompted. There is no obligation to purchase and you’ll not receive any spam email after completing it. What you will get is some sound skincare advice, product suggestions and perhaps the boost you are looking for to get your skin fit for 2013!

I discovered these products last year and would highly recommend them. I also like the fact that you need fewer products as I wanted to simplify my beauty routine. Marie S x

    • I’m so glad you enjoy them too Marie – I had used in pregnancy but didn’t know their skin care range was for every day. And isn’t it great to not have to be bothering with serums and day creams and night creams! Avril x

Hi Avril-thanks for the recommendation, it sure sounds like a really good product. Loving your Fossil bag too, it’s very stylish and has a place for everything! Have a good weekend! Sharon x

Thanks for that info, will definitely check it out. Have you heard that there’s some guy in NZ who has correctly forecast the summer weather (or lack of it!) in Ireland for the past few years. He has now predicted that we’re in for a scorcher this year .. yeehaw! According to him, no need for a foreign holiday, as we’ll have all the sunshine we need here – and as we all know, there’s nowhere like Ireland provided the sun shines! Fingers crossed :)

  6. I wonder if you can get it over here in the US. Just reading the above from FF, as much as the sun damages, I am a total sun worshipper. Mind you those 15 years in London proved to be a saviour for my skin even if we did have some gloomy summers.
